Crabapple & Apple

Whereas apple cultivars are often chosen for the size, taste, and quality of their fruits, crabapples are chosen much more for the color of their flowers, the unique shape of their trees, and resistance to prevalent diseases.

If crabapples produce fruit, they’ll be smaller and often not of eating quality. But if bloom times overlap, both types can pollinate each other.
